Miss seeing the night sky? Miss the blinking, so-far-away stars, streaking meteors and clusters of distant planetary systems? Then the Hostel in Dawson City might be the place for you.

No, certainly not from mid May to mid August when Canada's North is home to the 24 hour-a-day Midnight Sun but starting the last week of August  night and the night sky return to Dawson City and the Yukon's North. And there is no better place  to observe the night sky - and the Northern Lights - than from the river view deck of the Dawson City River Hostel. Why? Because with no electric lights polluting the view to the heavens the view from the hostel is as clear as it can be.

The Hostel only has a few dim solar lights and the lights of Dawson City, across the Yukon River and a few hundred meters away, do not impede the clear view of the night sky. So, bring your flash light and enjoy what more and more has become a rarity in  our light polluted world - a clear view of what is up there in the sky.
